Don’t let the holiday hustle and bustle make you overlook that someone special. Sure, you may want to get them a special holiday gift, but the best gift you can give someone is spending quality time with them. So don’t forget to make time to take that someone special out for a nice night out.
Here are a few Richmond holiday date ideas to get you started:
- Look at Christmas Lights – This can make for a nice, low-key way to get away from the holiday crowds. Just make a nice big mug of cocoa and drive around looking at Christmas lights in your neighborhood. Or, if you want to make an evening out of it, you could visit the Kings Dominion Winterfest for a truly breathtaking lights display (not to mention some amazing holiday inspired food!)
- Go Skating – This one is sure to impress. Skip the same old night at the movies and instead plan a date night at Chester Skateland. Your someone special is sure to love a night of skating together to great music!
- Go to a Show – This year, the holiday classic The Nutcracker is being performed at the Carpenter Theatre at Dominion Arts Center. For a less-well-known show, consider The Shoemaker and the Christmas Elves, now playing at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Or if you’re looking for something a little more offbeat, you and your date can check out the The Game’s Afoot: Holmes for the Holiday, now playing at the Hanover Tavern.
Now matter what Richmond holiday events you chose, we hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday, and we hope to see you soon at our Chester skate center!
