Of all the things we have to give thanks for at Chester Skateland, our families are right at the top. That’s why we’re so excited about National Family Week, November 19th through 25th! We hope you’re excited too, and we’ve put together a list of fun ways to celebrate by spending quality time with your family. Check it out!
- Go on a Walk! Get some time outside now, before the winter rolls in with snow and ice. The Chester area has beautiful trails for hiking and biking, and your own backyard has space for picnics, foot races, bonfires, and more. Now that Daylight Savings Time is in effect it’s important to get as sunshine as possible to help fight Seasonal Affective Disorder.
- Go Skating! Weather got you going stir-crazy? No need to panic–at Chester Skateland, everything is climate-controlled and comfortable. Your whole family can get plenty of exercise in a fun, friendly environment, whether in open skate sessions or lessons for everyone, from beginner skaters all the way up to experts.
- Go Shopping! It may not seem like the most family-friendly activity, but shopping is actually a great way to reinforce things kids are learning at school. They can help with the list, the budget, coupons, or the map. At the grocery store, they can look for the best deals. While shopping for presents, they can help come up with ideas. You can even turn it into a game by seeing how quickly kids can find all the items on their list. Shopping is pretty much unavoidable this time of year, so why not do it together?
No matter how you choose to celebrate your family, we hope you’ll do it with us at Chester Skateland in Chester, VA!
