Was your New Year’s Resolution to get healthier? So was ours! At Chester Skateland, we’re working hard to get ourselves fit in 2018. We know that’s not always an easy task, so we thought we’d share some of our tips and strategies for good exercise habits in the new year!
- Make It Fun! If we’re not enjoying something, what are the odds we’ll stick with it? Not very good! That’s why we’re planning to spend more time at Chester’s open skate sessions. Skating is a great workout.
- Make It Challenging… The trick to keeping engaged is to not get bored. As we get better, we’ll add new challenges like going faster, skating longer, and taking lessons to learn how to skate backward and do fancy tricks.
- …But Not Impossible. On the other hand, we don’t want to overwhelm ourselves, so we’re making sure we don’t add too much too soon. We want to make sure we feel ready to follow our exercise plan regularly!
- Make It Affordable. How helpful is the best exercise plan if we can’t afford it? That’s why we’re so excited about Chester Skateland’s Two for Tuesdays, where admission is just $2.
Roller skating has so many health benefits. The cardio is good for our heart, lungs, and brain, and it improves balance, coordination, and muscle tone. It also helps kill stress and improve our mood!
